Hi! I’m Maggie,

“When did you start making art?”

This common questions has always left me feeling a bit confused. For me art has always been a part of my life. For as long as I can remember I have been creating. For as far as I can see, I will be creating.

Since I was a kid, creating has been my source of solace, a new world I could create that would help me think through the problems and situations life throws at you. In my work, I try to bring this sense of calmness and escape to bring my viewers to a place that feels safe.

Growing up in Lewes, Delaware,

I am grateful to have had the coastal community as my playground and my source of inspiration. Living in an outdoor oriented area, I spent most of my childhood exploring the various landscape of Sussex County from the beaches to the farms, all in which have inspired my art over the years. My work depicts the beauty of the intricate details in the landscape and captures the sense of place of my community.

connection between art & landscape

This love for the landscape and the art in which it depicts lead me to become not only an artist but also a Landscape Architect. I bring my passion for art and the environment together into my coinciding work in the field of Landscape Architecture, where I design spaces for people that reflect the natural landscape and the local ecosystems. To work with our native land to develop the beach community with nature not against it.
